Svensøn is a Norwegian photographer based in Hamburg. In his black and white pictures he shows cityscapes with strong contrasts and sometimes unusual perspectives, which make his often minimalist images powerful while still conveying a feeling of calm and harmony.
Photography is like meditation for him. He loves searching for motifs, and immersing himself in scenes while enjoying the tranquility of the moment. Quietly observing and inspired by everyday scenes he includes individuals in the form of shadows and silhouettes. His tidy and sometimes reduced compositions appear atmospheric, sometimes even mythical and timeless. With strong contrasts and lighting effects, he creates a balance between graphics and mysticism.
His current work range between conceptual fine art street photography and accentuated urban photography. Svensøn's work has been exhibited in galleries and published in media.
