René Roeser is an emerging surrealistic self-taught photographer based in Luxemburg. Inspired by surreal painters, René uses his camera to combine images taken in the urban areas to create his absurd and paradoxical worlds.
Combining images in an intriguing way, René creates what looks like a real photograph, yet with logical inconsistencies to impart an effect of surrealism.
René completely refrains to use stock photos and uses only original elements in each of his works. He is always careful to keep the realistic aspect of each of them and his idea is to provoke the viewer to immerse themselves or just maybe get a simple smile.
